Video and audio tools that never upload your file
Trim a clip, shrink a phone video, pull the soundtrack out, or turn a moment into a GIF. The heavy media engine stays on your machine and only loads when you open a tool that needs it.
Video is the one category where doing the work locally is genuinely heavy. PocketPDF ships a WebAssembly build of FFmpeg — around 31 MB — and fetches it only when you open a video or audio tool. If you never touch those tools, you never download it. Once it is cached, the tools work offline like the rest of the site.
Every operation reads the file from your disk into the tab, runs the conversion in that tab, and hands back a download. There is no upload endpoint, no queue and no worker on a server watching the job. That also means the speed of your own CPU is the speed of the conversion — a long 4K clip will take longer here than on a render farm, and the page says so instead of pretending otherwise.
Video & audio9 tools
The heavy lifting, done by a 31 MB video engine that only loads if you ask for it. Clips, frames, GIFs, sound.
Which video or audio tool should I use?
Make it smaller: Compress Video re-encodes at the quality you pick and shows the estimated saving before you commit. Mute Video is the smallest possible change when the picture is fine and only the sound needs to go.
Change the format: Convert Video moves between MP4, WebM and MKV. Convert Audio handles MP3, WAV, OGG, M4A and FLAC in both directions at the bitrate you choose.
Take a piece: Trim Video and Trim Audio keep exactly the start and end you set. Video to Frames exports stills — every frame or one every N seconds — and Video to GIF builds a palette-tuned animation rather than a muddy one.
Separate the tracks: Video to Audio extracts the soundtrack as MP3 or WAV without touching the picture. Use WAV when another editor needs the raw samples.
